The table depicts the medal (table) status of seven countries in the 2012 Olympics Games staged in London. All the countries are ranked in terms of the number of gold medals they achieved in the games and there are details of other medals; silver and bronze. It is clear that the United States had the overall lead by wining the highest number of gold, silver and bronze medals; 46, 39 and 29 respectively. They made an astonishing victory by achieving a total of 104 medals. This is closely followed by China that won (around) 88 medals. The Great Britain was (Was was missing) positioned as third even though it was far behind Russia while considering the total score into account. The other nations like South Korea Germany and France could achieve only meager numbers of gold medals; approximately less than three times of the champions, the US. South Korea held the lowest position while considering total number of medals. Overall, the United States had stolen the show in the London Olympics held in 2012.
