Apprehensions of long distance travellers, greater or fewer. task II ielts
<
Generally, long haul travelers are always apprehensive of the place they are going to visit. Some people are of the view that such apprehensions are much higher in number today than it was; while others say that it is the other way around.
• Discuss both the views and say what you feel of the second view?
INtroduction
Being wary of a new place is quite natural. However, the view that long distance travelers are suffering from great number of fears is not that well founded, rather there are many reasons to believe that the second view is of great significance.
Second paragraph
As a matter of fact, all geographies are different and people might face some challenges when they land in a new place. However, these days, the differences in social life, security, climate, food, dress, travel and local cultures are much more transparent for all, obviously barring a few. For example, Indian nationals are found in almost all nations and great many are moving out for many purposes like education, business, tourism and the like. Not many are reported to have felt greater apprehensions on a new place. This indicates that long distance mobility leaves much fewer apprehensions than before.
Third paragraph
The first view seems to be a little exaggerated. The thing is that there are some places that are sensitive and one’s maiden visit to such a place may raise some concerns on security, mobility, stay, and gender disparity and so on. But, the extent of such instances is so limited compared to the other side of the world where we experience an all compassing attitude of association through human capital export, tourism, trade, commerce, diplomacy and so goes the list. Maybe there are a few sporadic cases where travelers might undergo some fears on racism, cultural bias and the like.
Conclusion
Concluding the discussion, what I feel of the second view is that there are enormous possibilities for transnational travelers to be confident and they do not need to be scary or wary of anything. There may be isolated locations where the story may not be that rosy. It seems to me that certain apprehensions are based on hearsays.
