Students who went for higher education from five schools                                      

The given table describes the percentage of pupils who entered higher education from five different secondary schools ; Royston Academy,Greystone High,Harble Secondary,Fairfield Girls and Crackend Boys from 19995 to 2000. ( you do not need to mention all the schools here, as you are going to do it in the body paragraphs)

                                 The significant feature of the table is that, the highest number of students, 90%, who entered higher education, was in 1995. It was from  Greystone High. Unfortunately, for the same school the percentage of children who pursued higher education declined over the years and reached 70% in 2000. It is interesting to note that Royston Academy showed an increase over the years from 50% in 1995 to 60% in 1999 and 2000.

Similarly, there was remarkable rise in the percentages of students in Harble Secondary over the years with 30% in 1995, three times less than that of Greystone High and it touched 80% in 2000, which was the highest among all other schools. It is also seen that Fairfield Girls hard an inconsistent variation over the years with values 65, 70, 75, 75, 70, 79 in respective years. When we look at Crackend Boys’ there was no remarkable change over the years, which was between 60 and 62%.

                                               In short, it is very much clear that there were variations among schools in the percentage of pupils who entered higher education over the years.

Expenditure and health and education in the UAE The given bar graph presents the expenditure on Health and Education in UAE in 1985, 1990 and 1995. The particulars are given in percentage of GDP. The significant feature of the graph is that there was constant increase in the spending on education over the years. It is seen that the ever time lowest percentage on education was in 1985, 10.00% and there was two percentage reduction in the allocation for health, 8%. Interestingly, in 1990 there was a sharp rise by four percent  on education, when compared to 1985 and it reached 14%. On the contrary,there was decline in health,7%, which was two times less than that of education. There was only slight rise in the funds set aside for education in 1995, 15%. On the other hand, the percentage increased in health and it touched 10% mark , which was three percent greater than 1990 allocation.                             Overall, the graph shows an increasing trend in the case of health and education over the years

The bar chart shows data on changes in the number of male and female deaths due to flu from March to August in 1996.Whereas, the line graph compares the flu rates among males and females in 1996. 

From March to May, only a female death due to flu was reported. But, after the experimentation of flu vaccine in June 1996,both male and female mortality rates were high.From June to August,two males died due to flu and the rate was double in females during the same period.

The line chart shows, a wide fluctuation in flu rates in both genders throughout the year. Compared to females,males had less incidence rate. In February,no male was affected with flu but gradually there was increase and the number shot upto 500 in April, which got  peaked in June, with just above 2500, a five fold increase. But there was a steady decline to 1500 in December.

Similarly, no single female was affected in February, but rapidly the number increased to 1000 in April. The all time high rate of 3500 happened in June, but later, in September, it slightly decreased to 2500 and it remained constant till December.

Overall, both mortality and morbidity due to flu was more in females than males.

There is an argument that the people’s rights over their unique ideas (intellectual properties) and inventions should not be allowed to stay with them for long; rather the world at large needs to get access to them freely as early as possible.

To what extent do you agree or disagree with this view?

The argument that people need to freely access ideas and avail of inventions as early as possible is of greater significance today. However, there may be a stipulated period of time set for different ideas and inventions. All the developers deserve due respect.  

All new ideas are for a better world. This is the thing that makes me stand for free access to intellectual properties. An idea becomes useful only when it benefits the needy, and the developers cannot expect all people to pay for an idea all the time. For example, almost all the literature that comes cheap to the world of reading today had once been the righted property of some writers somewhere.

Secondly, an invention may give way to another better one. For example, if a newly developed medicine is able to elongate the life of AIDS victims for a few more years, it must reach the AIDS victims at the earliest. There is no use if the rights of which is kept with the people behind it for ages. Who can predict that someone would not develop a permanent cure for AIDS?

Nonetheless, we should not ignore the efforts, time, money and material people happen to put in to develop something anew. All the inventions and ideas must get certain copyright period. This is the right of the brains behind the ideas and the world must look upon them for some time.

In short, access to copyrighted properties and ideas - after certain period of time - is the need of the hour, and the extent of time may vary as ideas do. Else, huge quantum of information might get held up, and the larger world may not benefit from it. It would be as if having no ideas at all.

Q.In some nations promotion of habit forming substances is extensively discouraged by banning display in sales point and promoting display on health risks at places where people are likely to assemble.Do you think such an initiative is going to make any shift in the way people approach these substances?                                                                                    

                                       It is a known fact that substance abuse adversely affects the overall health of an individual.So,I think banning promotion exercises in public places and highlighting the side effects of such products can make tremendous changes in the attitude of people towards these harmful substances.

                          

                                           To begin with,picturesque representation of habit forming substances create temptation among people for using them.To make it clearer,glorified images of tobacco and alcohol products aggravate inclination towards them. As a result, people become addicted to it. Many,naturally, find it difficult to do without such substances.

                                      However,absence of projecting hoary pictures might discourage people to a great extent.Also, people may become conscious by observing the  health hazards of such harmful products and they may think twice before using it. For example, statistics released by Cancer Research Institute in the UK revealed that,in 2009  the number of lives claimed by tobacco related cancers was 1,4000. But,after two years this figure came down to 79,000.This shift was because of the UK government's initiative on banning displays and highlighting dangers of tobacco products across the nation.

                                         In short, it is very much clear that banning advertisements of harmful substances in public places and displays regarding health risks of the same can make changes in the attitude of People.So,it is our responsibility to encourage such constructive activities all over the world.

The tremendous role played by employEES in the employment scenario is inevitable since the contributions of workers have great impact ON the growth of an organization. So, it is more beneficial for the EMPLOYEES TO HAVE a certain period of service. But, there are concerns too.

                      There are some advantages when the service of an employee  gets fixed. First of all, it creates a number of job opportunities for youngsters. There are great many young professionalS, who are waiting for an employment right from the day one of their passing out. For example, in India, the government sector is almost filled with aged employees and the new generation gets quite smaller exposure to get paid with government salary. Also, the aged people can enjoy their retirement life to a great extent because they had worked a lot in the prime of their lives and they should get enough time with their family members so as to enjoy the beauty of life.

                        However, when the retirement age limit is fixed, it IS LIKELY TO HAVE some bad effects as well. Primarily, loss of experienced hands may adversely affect the overall productivity of an organization. To make it clearer, those people might get exposed to handle a variety of troublesome situations which may give them enough courage to overcome such problems later. Moreover, the government has to spend great amount of money as pensions for the retired people even though there is no output. THE SADDEST THING IS MANY WHO CALL IT A DAY WILL BE HIGHLY PRODUCTIVE.
