Wise management of available energy is of paramount importance in these days of falling energy security levels the world over. Unfortunately, instances of gross energy mismanagement are very common, and the need for curbing such practices is extremely warranted.

In this regard, we find innumerable ways being adopted by nations the world over to see that the remaining energy sources are kept as long as possible. However, there is much to be done against those who mismanage energy. This is actually a fix. Some people mismanage energy saying that they are paying for what they are using. This is a false notion, and they cannot be let go like that.

Let me prove it. Energy saved is energy generated. In this respect, it is right to say that energy mismanaged is energy destroyed. Destroying energy is nothing but a crime against the welfare of needy people and the planet they are living in.

The same way, the available energy is for the welfare of all no matter which social category they belong to. So, when some irresponsible people go on mismanaging energy, there arises a problem that they are depriving majority of population of their due right for energy security. This is a violation of social justice and it is nothing short of a crime against humanity and environment today and tomorrow.

In short, the discussion makes me stay with those environmentalists who want energy mismanagement to be taken as a crime against humanity. If it is not made so, the coming generation will be deprived of their right to lead a secure life here. Enough energy and safe environment are for all the ages to come.
