Researches and developments in the field of medicine have made enormous changes in human life and well being, and their life expectancy has been increasing remarkably over the years.

Human life has seen great changes thanks to medical innovations. As a result, today humans live longer than their counterparts used to. This is true to a greater extent. However, keeping human life longer is not so good for all all the time.
It is an undisputed fact that human life has witnessed phenomenal changes thanks to researches and development in medicine. There are several examples to prove it. Now almost all life threatening diseases have been brought under control, and there are cures for almost all ailments, except AIDS. Tuberculosis, Hepatitis B, cancers of all types etc. are examples. Besides, mortality and morbidity rates have taken newer levels over the years. Therefore, it goes without saying that medical innovations have made human life secure.
Coming to how appropriate it is to live a longer life in these days of population explosion and its resultant threats, I would say it is not so attractive an idea because, keeping life longer is extremely expensive, and not many can enjoy the benefit of such developments. However, from a personal point of view, everyone wants to live longer. Medicine comes to their help, too. But from an ecological and demographic point of view, elongating life through medical innovations is likely to do more harm than good by way of ecological disequilibrium.
To conclude it, it is a good idea to keep life longer. It is better still if such a life wouldn’t do any harm to the planet we are living in and to the living beings that live with man. So, medicine may help elongate human life, but human life should not endanger the Planet.

“Many species, one planet and one future” is the motto of the year 2010 which stands declared as the World Environment Year.
Do you think declaring a year to mark an initiate would make some difference?
How do you look at the motto; “Many species, one planet and one future”?
Attaching special significance to a particular day or a year is not a new concept. Such an exercise, in my opinion, is likely to make awareness among people towards what ever significance is attached to that day or year. And the motto “Many species, one planet and one future” sounds really great to me.
To begin with, any social change is possible only if people decide to change. When it comes to a change of global magnitude like eco-friendly practices and environmental protection, the need for making the whole world aware of is of great significance. Obviously, the best way to reach all people world over is to make a particular day or a year carry that message of change. Naturally, media world over take up the initiative, and people en masse come to understand the significance. That is what is happening this year also. The planet needs to ensure future for its entire species at any cost. So it is proved that declaring a year to mark an initiative makes great difference.
When I hear the motto “Many species, one planet and one future”, I feel that I belong to this place like any other being, and it is my responsibility too to take care of the planet, and my future is as significant as the future of my fellow beings. That is; I cannot exist in isolation, I cannot forgo the welfare of others and I can no longer be complacent toward the concerns of my environment. This is a wholesome responsibility to be shared by all. This is how I look at the motto of the year 2010, “Many species, one planet and one future”,
To conclude it, the time to shed modern man’s ‘everybody’s business is nobody’s business’ attitude to his surrounding has come. Therefore, declaring the year 2010 as a special year is of great significance and, as an educated, responsible individual, I participate in it wholeheartedly.

Cost of education is always on the rise world over. Though several reasons are attributed to it, private participation in developing education infrastructure is said to be the most important reason.
How far is this true in your place?
What are the major ill effects of rising cost of education?
World over cost of living in general is rising, so is the cost of education. When it comes to my place, the story is not different either. It is private participation that keeps the cost rising. Obviously, this situation causes some ill effects.
Today, education infrastructure in this part of the world is governed more by private institutions than by government run ones. When government-run institutions charge much less fees, private institutions collect exorbitant fees. For example; in our place, almost all premier academic and training institutions charge in millions when it comes to medical and engineering seats. Needless to say, this trend is catching up much faster in our place than anywhere else, because parents of modern nuclear families are ready to pay fortunes for their children’s. For most of them, educating their children is a kind of investment.
If we look at the ill effects of the rising cost of education, the foremost one is that it deprives the majority of quality education. This leads to great human resource loss. Because, there are brilliant brains among the poor, but their service may not benefit the nation. Secondly, it creates divisions in the society like rich poor divide, digital divide and employable and non-employable etc. Thirdly, the interested and deserving ones among the poor end up nowhere, and such disappointed populace will cause disharmony in society. Finally it is right to add that rising cost of education weaken the nation.
To conclude it, right education is the right of all. Unfortunately, private participation in education is putting some hardships to people. In order to ensure uniform education and thereby rectify the ill effects of rising costs, there should be enough government participation.

Since green cover is the only solution, ecologists are of the view that the existing green cover of forests is not enough to meet the challenges. Naturally, there is need for individual participation. This, in turn, needs government support. If governments can meet the expectations of people, who have their own green cover, people would keep the green cover in their hold for the well being of the world. So offering decent ecological benefits to individuals would go a long way in making the world a healthier place to be in.
However, mere green coven maintenance wouldn’t meet the needs of the world population. The concern that it would slowdown growth needs to be addressed by alternatives. Obviously, today, humans are much better placed with efficient technologies to be applied in agriculture to augment production, and there are research and development options to meet the rising needs of man and, finally, humans themselves can control population. Practicing multiple careers is very common among younger professionals these days. Some people view this as an opportunity for many-sided growth, whereas some others are of the opinion that it is likely to upset their work life balance.
How do you look at these two views?
As younger professionals are living in a world of opportunities, pursuing multiple careers is quiet common. Looking at it objectively, I would say, being able to handle many careers is good, but it should not be at the cost of one’s personal life. 44 words.
Obviously, it is a good idea to be able to handle many things simultaneously. This can be proved by looking at the advantages it offers. One who is able to pursue many careers happens to hone many skills of varying degrees, and likely to enjoy many sided growth. For example, understanding many professional atmospheres, meeting people of great calibers, keeping oneself up-to-date with the changes and, of course, making a little extra income do augur well for multiple career perspective. However, we cannot ignore the pitfalls posed by the lures of this option. 90
When it comes to work life balance, an equilibrium that keeps our life smooth and meaningful, it is worth remembering that a healthy life is much more than an ambitious career. Unfortunately, many professionals seem to ignore the importance of family, leisure, food, sleep and social life due to the pressures they suffer from more than one working atmospheres. Swimming
· Swimming is probably the closest one to be the perfect exercise.
· The buoyancy of water protects the joints of the body from exertion.
· The cushioning that the water provides makes swimming a special and safe sport.
· It tones our entire body while providing an excellent cardio vascular workout.
· It strengthens ones heart muscles and also improves delivery of oxygen to muscles.
· It is suitable for all age groups, whether one is nine years or ninety years.
· So, it is right to say one is not too young or too old to swim.
· And when it comes to expense, we can say swimming is the cheapest means of getting exercise.
