Five questions on environment management
1.
Many environmentalists are of the opinion that, if man goes on exploiting the environment the way he does these days, there is going to be what they call ‘ecological overshoot’ (an imbalance between resources being made use of and resources being made available by the Planet) much sooner than later.
• How dangerous is to be facing ecological overshoot?
• How what suggestions can you have so that this environmental threat can be offset?
2.
Though the need for the three Rs: reduce, reuse and recycle, is increasingly felt today much more than ever, some people believe that this cannot solve the problems caused by today’s human actions and the resultant environmental problems whereas there are some others who take it the other way round.
• How do you look at these two view points, and put in what you feel about three Rs?
3.
There is a view that a clean environment is possible only if people in general take it as a personal responsibility.
• How far do you agree or disagree with this view?
4.
There is an argument that individuals who are rich enough to buy as much energy as they want should not be allowed to do so because energy is in extreme short supply.
• How far do you agree or disagree with this?

5.
Mismanaging energy should be taken as a crime against humanity and energy conscious industries and individuals need to be given incentives to keep their spirit up.
• Comment on this idea.
