It is quite natural that opinions differ when it comes to whether it is advantageous or disadvantageous to be working under a small or big organization. However, it is an undeniable fact that both options have their own brighter and darker sides.
To begin with, working under a small set up offers a person several advantages. Primarily, it does not cause as much pressure as a big set up does, so that an employee may not get exposed to work related hazards. Secondly, there will be greater and stronger inter-personal relation between employees and the same will lead to better team spirit and higher performance indices. Thirdly, small set ups are free spaces that offer plenty of opportunities to try new ideas and experiment innovations. This is not possible in a big set up where everything is too formal and cumbersome. There are several other advantages, too. 90 words
When it comes to its disadvantages, it is right to say that a small set up does not offer as much growth prospects as a bigger organization does. In a bigger set up, one with right attitude may grow even to the highest rung of their career ladder. In addition to these, there is better scope for getting exposed to the latest technological developments and the working environments will be much more professional and demanding. Apart from all these, a big set up gives a little more job security than a small one does. Being part of a big organization is challenging too. 90 words
Looking the brighter and darker sides of the issue, it sounds right to conclude that both the set ups offer almost equal opportunities, provided the employee sports the right attitude. It is not the size of the company that matters but how one looks at a set up. 45 words
