A
nation running short of resources to generate enough employment opportunities
for the educated does not need to make fresher investments in education.

Do you
agree or disagree with this view?
Not many would deny the fact
that the primary aim of the education is empowering the society. In such a
context, I find it right to say that employment and education have two different
dimensions. In today’s global world order, zero investment in education cannot
be favoured for any nation. Let me see it in detail.
I have plenty of reasons to
argue against this view. Firstly, education makes people find their own
livelihoods. No government can guarantee or generate employment for all its
citizens. However, providing employment for all is the responsibility of the State.
So, the people can find employment opportunities for themselves either in their
own nations or in other nations. Secondly, an education society is free from unemployment,
poverty and so on and people of such a society can contribute many things to
the welfare of their nation.
Lastly, an education society
is more productive and the people are more conscious about their rights and
duties. As a matter of fact, human resource is the best of resources in the
world but only an educated society can utilize this perishable resource
effectively. Let me cite an example. Of late, we find many nations, short of
right human capital to produce job opportunities, export their intelligent brains
to other parts to the world, thereby; they earn huge foreign money also. In such
situations, it is necessary to invest in education sector and make a knowledge
economy in order to meet the competition in a global world order.
In short, it may be said
that investing in education is one thing and generating employment is another
thing, and it will be wiser idea to invest in education regularly. This will do
great favours for all nations regardless of their status.
