There are 90 cues to be taken in the process of reading. twenty are given, the first part, and the rest will follow.
Reading: Things to be taken into account
- Read the instructions first. Read the questions
- Read as fast as you can, stopping at place where there are references
- Underline finishing phrases of all opening sentences
- Italics, strange words, quotations and brackets are indications
- Note words like however, except, further, moreover, but, yet, still etc.
- Double negatives either in questions or in the body
- Synonymous expressions, from question to body or body to question
- So far, Until, Till, of late, lately, recently and the like are tricky
- Observe tense and number patterns of matching questions
- When a word can be used more than once, only once it is repeated.
- Multiple choice is either finding the right ones or identifying the wrong ones
- Not given question will have a phrase that you may not see in the text
- Yes, questions are more straightforward.
- No questions are the trickiest. Not given is much smaller in number
- So is the case with true or false. True answers are straighter than false answers
- Please note very small sentences, ones which are less than a line long.
- Last phrase of every paragraph will have a punching word.
- Suitable title, read the first part of first and last part of the last paragraph
- Don’t read the text again and again for every single question.
- Mark up an area which has given you an answer.
