Some social scientists are of the opinion that children are likely to understand the need for equal gender participation in real life if their parents are prepared to allow their children to actively participate in all domestic chores.
Essay 051
How do you look at this opinion?
Do you think gender participation is of some value?

Equal gender engaging is not likely to take place unless there is initiative from the family itself. This may be by engaging children in all domestic duties. Obviously, gender participation is of greater value today than ever, and our social scientists’ view sounds genuine to me too.

Achieving equal gender participation is not that easy as we think. Still, hopefully, if we could start from families - it is families that inculcate gender preferences in children - there will be light at the end of the tunnel. For example; parents can instill lessons of gender participation in children. This can be done by engaging them in all domestic activities irrespective of the nature of work. This will change the attitude from the grassroots itself, and this change will later turn out to be the order of the day.

It is obvious that gender participation has great value now. Today, life is taken mostly in terms of time, money and material. If these things are to be achieved up-to the expectations of all, there needs gender participation. For example, a nuclear family atmosphere demands mutual gender engaging, for working environment is 24x7, double income is the need of the hour and life is more a matter of competition than one of anything else. Here what makes things smoother is gender participation.

So what is it all in short? Parents need to understand the fact that their children need to engage equally well so that their life will be better. This needs to start from home itself. All good things need to start from home. So is the need for equal gender participation.
