Disasters: Five different questions.

1.

The whole world is increasingly becoming insecure due to human actions leading to disasters, both manmade and natural. Therefore, it is argued that there needs a global disaster management system funded by all nations.

• Do you think the advantages of such a system outweigh its disadvantages?

2.

Today managing disasters - both manmade and natural - are far beyond the reach any Economy. So it is a good idea to have a globally binding disaster managements system.

• What do you think are the advantages and disadvantages of such a system?

3.

Developed economies contribute much more to the imbalances in nature, leading to many natural disasters, than poor nations do. So some people argue that these rich nations need to compensate for all the losses these disasters cause to poor nations.

• How far can you endorse such a stand point?

4.

When a disaster strikes a nation, the world community springs into action and does whatever is possible to salvage the affected.

• How best is this tendency getting reflected in your place?
• Whose responsibility is it any way to manage disasters?

5.

Today the world is forced to cope with disasters of different natures and magnitudes. This situation is attributed more to human actions than to natural developments.

• How far do you agree or disagree with this view?
