Writing tips from British council. follow it verbatim.


1. Do not repeat ideas in a different way.
2. Plan and organize your answers in paragraphs.
3. Write to the topic.
4. Do not write too many words. Keep to the word limit for each task.
5. Avoid informal language.
6. Learn to recognize how long 150/250 words are in your handwriting. You don’t really have to count.
7. Do not memorize model answers. They won’t fit the question and you will make careless mistakes.
8. Be careful with timing. Don’t rush task 2. It is longer and carries more marks.
9. Do not worry about your handwriting provided it is readable to all.
10. Always spend several minutes re-reading and correcting your essays.
