Online spent on books
in the UK
We
have two charts here; a line chart and a pie chart. The line graph shows how
the spending patterns of UK
population changed over the years while shopping books online from 1997 to
2002. The pie graph distributes percentage-wise data on quantity of books
bought online by people of different regions.
See
the line graph. In 1997 people of the UK spent more than ten million
pounds shopping online. This figure recorded a fifty percent increase in the
following year taking the figure well above 15 million. This upward spiral is
visible all through the years. Look at the figures. The 1998-99 period had an
increase of almost four million, but from 1990 to 2002, it stood between 19 and
24 million. In short, over a period of five years, online spending on books in
the UK
recorded almost 150% increase.
The
pie chart shows that England
claimed 81% of online book shopping, and the remaining 19% was distributed
among Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland; their
corresponding figures go like 10%, eight percent and one percent. That is the
end of the report.
