An essay by my online trainee, Ms. Jesmi James

Spending long years at colleges for a professional qualification does not look attractive to many as there are innumerable other ways that make youngsters find their living easier.
• • Do you think it is not good to spend some years at college?
• • How good is it to depend on oneself when it comes to profession?

It is a general belief that professional degrees always help people in one way or the other. But, there are some who say that spending too many years for a professional qualification is worthwhile. Anyway, in my opinion, it all depends upon the attitude of people.
A college provides both theoretical and practical knowledge, and it inspires students to have further studies. As a result, they get a deep knowledge about their subject. Moreover, experienced teachers can guide them and clarify their doubts at any time. In short, after completing his or her degree course, he or she becomes really capable to do a job which is related to their field of education. 88 words

However, it is a fact that many well educated but still unemployed youngsters are present amidst of us. At the same time, some non-professionals get huge payment for their work. Surprisingly, these youngsters do not want to go to college for their higher studies. The reason behind this controversy is strange. Actually, armatures can excel professionals if they really have got the taste and mettle. Many scientists and artists are examples for this. 88 words

To wind up, it is not necessary to get a degree or diploma for a decent job, and I strongly believe that a right person can acquire knowledge by his own effort, and there is enough reason not to spend many years for a qualification.
