Green and going back to basic needs
1.
Man cannot be going modern any further because the Planet Earth has come to such a pass that it is not able to sustain material and resource based modernity any more.
• How far can you endorse this view?
2.
Technology enabled modernity has made every individual an island making him ignore the fact that there was a face-to-face community in the past.
• Argue for and against this view
3.
Diseases and discomforts people have today are directly proportional to the comfort quotient they happen to enjoy by way of technology enabled services.
• Do you agree or disagree with this?
4.
Entertainments and leisure activities children today enjoy have become what some anthropologists call ‘enervating exercises’.
• How appropriate is this view?
• How differently children of the past kept themselves entertained?
5.
Science and technology has come a long way, and human life as such has become much more comfortable than it was before. But this view is not shared by all.
Look at this view objectively, and say what makes some people dissent with this opinion?
