In these times of career opportunities, it is rather easy to say that early career is better. However, this write up makes an attempt to find out what all advantages and disadvantages early career selection offers people today.

Firstly, today, being in the helm of a profession in one’s prime years is taken as a springboard to the upper rungs of a person’s career. For example, he or she who starts up a career early will find faster growth prospects in their twenties itself. Secondly, early financial independence will enable them to support themselves, their family and society at large much early, too. Thirdly, they tend to be go-getters and these people will enjoy great material and social security. This world of survival of the fittest demands such qualities.

All said, let me spare a little space to find out how this idea is going to affect our professionals. Firstly, academic years are the most beautiful times of one’s life. So, when one leaves this space and lands in a world of pressure and responsibilities, there is a little concern. Secondly, there are possibilities for wrong career selection. Realizing the same later and starting up a new career and the like lead to many upheavals in one’s life. And, finally, if everyone starts working with their basic qualifications and ignores higher studies, who is going to take care of research, development and teaching?

Looking at the findings on early career selection, I find it right to say that it is equally positive and negative. Since career and higher studies are matters of one’s attitude, opinions differ from person to person.
