Climograph on calcutta, an answer by anu from arabia

The given graph illustrates the average experienced temperature and rainfall in Kolkata over twelve months. The temperature is depicted in degree Celsius and precipitation in millimeter.

At a glance, for the first four consecutive months, from January to April, the available rainfall is 50 or less than that. There is a steadily rise in temperature over the same period, about 20 to 28. The following two months May and June, record the highest rise in temperature, 30. There is steep increase in rainfall from the month June until September.

Obviously, the rainfall reaches the maximum in July and August, about 340mm, and the temperature also remains the same on a lower rate of 28. Gradually, the rainfall declines from September and in October it suddenly drops to 150mm as compared with the previous month. Likewise, the temperature also slowly comes down from September onwards, and the least recorded temperature is 20 in both December and January. Also, the rainfall is very minimal in the final two months.

To summarize, rainfall and the temperature are inversely related to one another throughout the months except in the final three months.
