Success is hard to define, but everyone has his or her own definition. 

However, there are certain common things that go into the making of everyone's success.

The concept ‘success’ has always defied a common definition though people in general define it in their own ways. This fact notwithstanding, there are a few common components that contribute to the success of all. Let this write up see why defining it is very hard and what those common factors of success are.  

Success basically is a personal feeling that gets generated out of countless factors. Naturally, since it is something individual, it defers from person to person and so it is hard to define. For example, the success concerns of a school leaving student will be confined to the high scores he is expected to get. But, the story is different when it comes to a family man who has got a few children, a career and some social standing. For him, success is far bigger a concept and he would have an entirely different definition.  No wonder, success as a concept will go on defying a common definition for sure. It is so abstract that.

Despite this mysterious nature of success, there are a couple of elements that are applicable for anyone who wants to relish success or we can identify the same in anyone who has already had success. The first thing is called perseverance. It is the indomitable will to be successful at any cost. Such an attitude is rare. Second thing is merit. It is a combination of talent, attitude and skills or knowledge. For example, a person with some merit will make it to the top and go successful. And finally it is right to say the milieu one belongs to is also a factor that plays a bigger role. Even if the other two components are there, a hostile milieu will spoil one’s success drive.

In short, success will always remain mysterious making people take it the way the like. But the common instruments that make success possible are there to be shared by all those who wish to be successful.
