Changes in food habits are
happening must faster than ever. Some people believe that it is no big deal as
it is a collateral development of the changing life, while there are others who
hold the view that it is a much bigger problem than it looks.
Discuss both the views and put
in your opinion on it
These days many people are of
the opinion that changing food habit is
(the question was in plural form) becoming
a part of modern world. Some, however, disagree with the view for a host of
reasons. According to them, these changes in habits can generate serious issues
in the future. In my opinion, this practice can disturb the normal flow of life
unless people are not prudent.
It is true to say that concept
of food has changed a lot as compared to the past. Nowadays, people consider these changes as part of their culture.
Many people hold the view that these changes can prevent monotony in their life
and create happiness. Apart from that, many people welcome this practice
because of the convenience that it provides in today’s hectic life. For
example, people rely on fast foods and ready-made foods for their convenience. Food is integral to human movement and
therefore they are moving out with different foods that are around.
On the other hand, some people
argue that changes in food habits can cause more harm than good. People consume
fast foods without considering its negative effects. For instance, fast food
can create more health issues like obesity, metabolic disorders and
indigestion. This can impact human life. Apart from that, these days many new
preparations consist of artificial flavours, colours and preservatives which are
not good for health. Continuous use of these substances can cause
dangerous cancer. So, these changes are
not advisable. No wonder, there is great substance in the second view that
it is worrisome.
The discussion makes it evident that,
although changes in food habits are common these days, people should be wise
enough to manage their foods so that
they can enjoy both the worlds, food of their choice off and on and avoid the
risks out faster changes in food habits.
