The charts give the information about four categories of online sales in Canada namely, Electronics and Appliance, Food& Beverage, Home & Furnishings and Video Games in 2005 and 2010.
Generally speaking, Electronics & Appliance and Food & Beverage constituted more than half of the total sales in both years.
It is vivid from the charts that Electronics & Appliance and Food & Beverage accounted for 57% of the total online sales in 2005. Later in 2010 it showed a 10 per cent increase with 62 per cent of the total annual online sales. In addition to this, Video games also bettered its sales from 18 per cent to 23 per cent over a period of five years. However, Home furnishings marked a significant decline in sales from 25 per cent in 2005 to 15 per cent in 2010.
To conclude, it is clear from the charts that Food and Beverages continued to be in high demand category in online retail market in Canada and recorded around 50 % growth over five years.
