Some believe that practicing medicine is much easier today for
medical personnel than it was some years ago. But, this view is not supported
by all.
· Do you think the first
view is of some substance?
· What could be the
factors that make some others oppose this view?
In my opinion, it
is well-known that practicing medicine
has become so much advanced over the
time so that it is not that
complicated now. Firstly, the immense effects of technology and information
explosion in diagnostics, pharmaceuticals and medical administering have
influenced this field enormously.
For example, getting medical advice online
and implementing it is very much commonly observed today. Secondly, change
in lifestyle and associated illness are on the increase and, in order to tackle this issue, many organizations have been established far
and wide and the same makes more staffing
leading to smooth working of the medical
system across the spectrum.
However, there are differing views.
It is also a matter of concern for many, maybe due the fact that, today, unlike
in the past, there is over dependence on technologies in medical field. Adapting
the most modern innovations may
lead to both human and non-human errors causing serious ill effects. Other factor could be the rise in competition
in this field which makes many
medical personnel go through very frequent updating, serious and conscious studies, sit many exams and face interviews even after securing
jobs. Other factor could be lack of job security and the high-handedness of corporate medical managements who keep medicine industrialized.
To
conclude, it cannot be denied that medical personnel are well adapted to the
present working condition, and they easily practice medicine. It is relevant to
consider the factors which prohibit them to practice medicine as not much easily as it is done today.
