How right is it to spend for a life-friendly Planet up?

Spending hugely on finding the possibility of a habitable Planet, in some people’s view, is much worth it while others are of the view that the planet we already have has got enough issues which call for great funds.
·        What could their arguments and state what you feel about spending hugely for a life-friendly planet.

The rights and wrongs of spending on space missions to find a livable planet have always invited diverse opinions. For some, it is a great idea, while for others such funds are to be channeled to address the concerns of the Planet we are in.

The first view may be on the grounds that our Planet is running out of resources. Naturally, it would augur well of any nation that is able to earmark greatly on space explorations. Who could predict that such a nation would not land on a new livable Planet? There could be further justification that a planet, if found, would be worthier than all the money man has ever made or spent.

The other camp, on the other hand, would say that the Planet we are blessed with is enough to keep the whole human race go on forever provided all can lead a planet-friendly life. Nature has a rare mechanism to balance the imbalances if enough time is given. Besides this, there may be a claim that problems like poverty, lack of shelter, unemployment, bio-diversity debacle and the like need huge funds. Therefore, space missions can wait.

Discussing both the views, I am inclined to opine that spending on an unknown Planet needs to go on, but it need not be at the cost of other pressing priorities like the ones listed above. Nations need to decide on what is more significant.

Concluding it, it would be a nicer idea for all willing nations to go for a common fund for space missions. After all, the need for finding a new planet is felt by all nations. The differing opinions on this will go for consensus only when such a fund is raised.
