Innovations and challenges> Essay by Biji scotland

Some technological innovations aimed to make human life easier and more interesting, at times, make life complex and annoying.  Some say the manufacturers need to self-regulate such innovations, while others say it is the end-user who should manage it.

·         Do you think manufactures can keep innovations people-friendly all the time?
·         What can the end-user do in this regard?

Technological innovations can have negative and positive impacts on people. There have been different opinions (plural. not has been) on who should take care of the innovation-generated problems: is it the manufacturer or the end-user? To me, the former cannot do much but the latter is in a better position.

It is true to say that technological innovations can make people’s life more convenient and interesting, but at at the same time, complex and difficult. Many people believe that manufactures need to adopt people-friendly approach and regulate its influences. This is not possible every time. Today, most of the manufactures are profit-oriented. They adopt various measures for increasing their profit. They try to showcase only the positive aspects of their products and never think about their negative influences among the people. However, (repetition of at the same time) governments can implement certain rules for its regulations, but they cannot control them fully. The main reason is  they do not have the right to control individual choices and privacy.

Consumers, on the other hand, are at a greater advantage in this connection. Certain technologies like television and computers facilitate people to acquire knowledge, relaxation and enjoyment. However, these can make a person more mechanical and inactive. In this case, definitely, consumers need to manage their time and schedules accordingly. It is a fact that every day, new technologies are emerging out. People should select and adopt them according to their needs.

From the above mentioned points, it can be concluded that, even though technological innovations provide more comforts and benefits, no one can deny their negative aspects. So, consumers should be wise enough to realize the fact that all innovations are for man’s better well being.

I rate it as a seven quality essay, but for the following comments.

285 words, much better worded essay with enough points, but there is dearth for examples. Another thing is, it was about innovations, not simply about all technologies.
